Tom began his career in insurance straight out of university, beginning with private health insurance in Dublin. After taking a career break to travel, he moved to Australia in 2017, initially planning to stay for just a couple of years. It was here in Australia that he shifted into general insurance. Before joining 360, Tom spent six years in various leadership roles, managing claims for the NSW Government, specifically for vehicles and property owned or operated by the government.
Tom specialises in commercial property and motor insurance but has also worked across a range of other products. He is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and continuously seeking innovative solutions to improve outcomes. In 2023, Tom was honoured with the Insurance Business Australia Rising Star Award.
Life at 360
What were you first 30 days at 360 like?
I was very fortunate to have joined such a strong claims team, who were already delivering to a very high level. In saying that, I was straight into the thick of things, reviewing some of our key claims strategies in order to further our service offering. The first 30 days, similar to the first 12 months, have really flown by.
What do you hope to achieve in the next 12 months at 360?
I hope to continue to grow our team to meet the developing market needs. We also have exciting claims projects coming up that I am looking forward to!
