360 Underwriting Solutions (360) has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Crop Risk Underwriting, one of Australia’s leading Crop Underwriting Agencies. The acquisition marks a major step in 360’s continued expansion and commitment to the regional and agricultural sectors.
Crop Risk Underwriting, co-founded by Steven Green and Peter Book in 2019, has built a strong niche within the Australian regional crop market through its purpose-built IT system, deep broker relationships, and the dedicated expertise of a team who live and breathe crop insurance.
Supported by capacity partner Liberty Mutual, Crop Risk Underwriting is well positioned for future growth and continued success across the regional market.
Denis Morrisey, Co-Founder & Managing Director, explained his excitement for this development for 360 Underwriting Solutions:
“Our partnership with Crop Risk Underwriting reinforces our commitment to regional Australia and complements our existing Farm Insurance offering. It increases our relevance and capability for the brokers who service this critical part of the Australian economy. We have been targeting several key product gaps within our group portfolio, and the addition of Crop Risk fills one of those strategically important areas. It represents a meaningful step toward our goal of offering a truly comprehensive suite of solutions to the market.”
Jason Clarke, CEO & Director of 360 Underwriting Solutions, added:
“Steven, Peter and the Crop Risk team have built an outstanding business grounded in technical excellence, client focus, and genuine regional expertise. Their culture and values align perfectly with 360, and we’re thrilled to welcome them into the group.”
Steven Green, Co-Founder of Crop Risk Underwriting, said the partnership presents a strong opportunity for growth:
“Our decision to Partner with 360 Underwriting aligns CRU, with an initiative that is designed to support and expand insurance services to rural and regional brokers while also providing CRU with the opportunity for the development of new and improved solutions to help farmers manage adversity. We are looking forward to working with the team at 360 Underwriting Solutions”
Brett Williams, Head of 360 Farm & Regional, added:
“This announcement demonstrates 360’s unwavering commitment to farmers and our broker partners. It’s a watershed moment in the evolution of our Agri strategy.”
The partnership continues 360’s growth trajectory as one of Australia’s fastest-growing underwriting agency groups, building specialist capabilities and long-term value across multiple product lines.
